Michel Tremblay

Mr. Michel Tremblay is a full professor in the Department of Human Resources Management at HEC Montréal and holds the Omer DeSerres Chair of Retailing. He has a Master’s degree in management from HEC Montréal as well as a Ph.D. in administration from the Institut d’Administration des Entreprises de Aix-Marseille, in France.  Michel Tremblay specializes in the field of human resources management. His teaching activities focus mainly on remuneration, human resources, motivation, and innovative HRM practices. The author of over forty publications, Mr. Tremblay has seen his works published in countries spanning two continents (Canada, the United States, France, United Kingdom, Switzerland and Belgium). Recipient of the 1998 HEC Montréal Gaëtan Morin Award, his recent research work has focused on career management, types of rewards, and strategies for motivating human resources.
